Tasmania Skilled Migration Update – Important Program Changes (21 May 2026)
Migration Tasmania has released an important update for the Skilled Migration State Nomination Program for the 2025–26 program year.
🔴 Registrations of Interest (ROI) Closing Soon
All Registrations of Interest (ROIs) for Tasmania skilled migration pathways will close at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
This includes all nomination pathways and visa subclasses under the program. The closure has been announced due to very strong demand for state nomination places.
📅 Final Invitation Round
The last invitation round for the 2025–26 program year will be held on:
➡️ Thursday, 4 June 2026
After this round, no further invitations will be issued for the current program year.
⚠️ Limited Nomination Places Remaining
Migration Tasmania has advised that:
Only a small number of nomination places remain
Applications may still be assessed, but not all will be nominated
Final outcomes depend on remaining allocation
🔄 What Happens Next?
ROIs not selected before program closure will remain in the system for up to 6 months
They may be considered once the 2026–27 program opens
The new program year will bring updated guidelines and allocation details
